The Record

A candle on a sill. An old window. Beyond it: snow, a village, a church, and one bright star. The Long Night is a record for the hour when the house has gone quiet and Christmas feels closest.

Ten traditional carols, arranged for a small chamber palette and given room to breathe. Nothing here is being reinvented. These are songs most people already carry — half-remembered, learned before they were understood, sung in cold churches and warm kitchens. The intention was only to set them down with care, and to let them be heard again with fresh attention.

The title is the plain one. It means the longest nights of the year, and it means the hours you sit up through, thinking of the people you have loved and the ones you will see in the morning.

It is the first record from Abstract Sight Records.
